Life of Lanka – A short video that shows the beauty of everyday life in Sri Lanka

When Manuel was in Sri Lanka for a kitesurf trip he was interested in how people were living. He made a beautiful video showcasing the beauty of everyday life and noticed how many ethnic groups, all with their own language and religion, were part of the Sri Lankan culture..

There is a variety of ethnic groups in Sri Lanka, each with its own language and religious traditions. Besides the majority Sinhala Buddhists, the nation also includes Sri Lankan Tamils, Tamils of recent Indian origin, Muslims, semi-tribal Väddas, and Burghers, descendants of intermarriages between Sri Lankans and Europeans.
Locals possess a warm and friendly nature reflected in persistent smiling faces and eagerness to help others. Sri Lankans are very hospitable and take pride in inviting people to their homes, however, they will remain modest.
