My first encounter with the beauty of the States was during a couple of road trips with the family about 8 years ago. During these trips we drove thousands of miles in between cities and immense national parks. From the cityscapes of LA, New York, San Fransisco and Las Vegas to the raw nature of Yosemite Park, Dead Valley, the Grand Canyon, the Big Sur, Yellow Stone park and Zion National Park.
But the place that impressed me the most was Bryce Canyon. Being a bit smaller than the other parks and somewhat remote, this park attracts little tourism. Its small canyons which can be explored by foot, the iconic orange stones and incredible views over the canyon with the remarkable ‘Hoodoos’ (those pointy rocks) is something I will never forget. And I am afraid it is something I need to return to, to see it again and make sure it wasn’t just a dream. This photo was shot by my dad while I was enjoying the impressive views that Bruce has to offer..
